Saltmine:   Scramblers - Climbers - Explorers - Pathfinders

Saltmine Group - Pathfinders

Pathfinders are a group of 40 young people in school years 7,8 and 9.

The aim of Pathfinders is to challenge and equip the young people to live as members of God’s Kingdom in the world. We do this by having a whole load of fun playing games, reading and discussing the Bible and trying to apply what we learn to our lives.

This term we are looking at "What Jesus Can Do". This uses some old and new stories where people have encountered Jesus in their lives and how he has helped people understand some of the most important issues of life, death and beyond.

Each session is different. Most sessions include the eating of some sort of food, together with digesting a piece of the Bible, discussion and prayer. Pathfinders are encouraged to ask questions and so we can cover a huge range of topics in one session as the young people seek answers and a Christian perspective to events in their lives and in the world.

Without exception, the 7 leaders of this group find the sessions enormously challenging, productive and fun!

Every term, Pathfinders have a social event :- last term it was a swim and a Barbeque followed by games on he Nower. This term……………..to be announced! We also celebrate Christmas together on the last ‘Saltmine’

As with all other Saltmine groups, we end each week with a time of prayer for our world, our Church and ourselves.
