Safeguarding

Everyone keeping everyone safe

The welfare of children, young people and adults is our top priority at St Paul's and we work to a thorough Safeguarding Policy, in line with the Diocese of Guildford and the Church of England.

Safeguarding at St Paul’s Dorking

We have an experienced team dedicated to the role of maintaining best practice in all areas of safeguarding; which includes safe recruitment of volunteer leaders, regular training and regular reviews of our policies and procedures. All those at St Paul's who serve in leading our many youth and children's groups and those working with vulnerable adults are subject to enhanced DBS checks.

St Paul’s Safeguarding Team

Children and Young People

The welfare of children and young people is a top priority for us at St Paul's.

We have a team dedicated to the role of maintaining best practice in all areas of safeguarding; which includes safe recruitment of volunteer leaders, regular training and constant reviews of everything we do to see where we can improve.

Vulnerable Adults

Safeguarding also includes the protection of vulnerable adults.  If you have a Safeguarding concern regarding an adult you can raise it using the link below.

We believe the responsibility for safeguarding doesn't just rest on those who have specific responsibility for children's and youth ministry. Everybody in the church has a responsibility for being alert to any areas of concern.

If you have a concern, we encourage you to raise it.

You might feel that you don't have a "Concern", that it's more a 'wondering' or 'suspicion' or even just a 'niggle'. This form is fine for that too. Even if you think "it's probably nothing." You may be right. But then again, it may actually be 'something' and you are the one who has noticed it.
